Surprising rescue of 60-year-old Krishna, who was caught in the throat of a living Karameen fish while fishing. This is the breeding season for bats that carry the Nipah virus. A report published in the International Journal of Viruses states that bats may have higher rates of viruses during breeding. Dr. Krishnan Kumar is the Director of the Virology Lab of the Department of Biotechnology. The report was prepared by Mohanan Valiya Veettil. The NIPAH reported in Kerala for two consecutive years in May and June. The report warns that it should be routinely used to prevent disease. Viruses are carriers, but they do not infect bats because of their unique immunity. However, their immunity during breeding will be reduced. Nipah  virus is more common in the bladder secretions.
